Alexander Mc Queen and Queen SJP looked AMAZING in their Scottish get-ups. I can’t wait till I can be the only brown person on the planet to wear tartan this fall and I am sure this will make Dalicia fan/ Felicia’s non-biological twin sister, Lindsay Brown real proud that Scottish styles are so in right now considering how that drunk disaster practically highland dances in her sleep.

-According to the bible (the daily) Vuitton reject and tabloid queen, Loho is going to be taking Uncle Karl’s picture for Interview magazine. What is it with Lindsay these days? It seems like just about every other day she is claiming to have deals with all the major fashion houses that always seem to fall thru. Hey, taking pictures of one of the sexiest bitches alive is a pretty good fall back. Also in Loho news she has been seen trying to make BFF status with Miuccia Prada at a skirt party for Prada’s latest item. Is Lindsay trying a tad too hard to be fashions latest IT girl? Perhaps but would Dalicia be doing the same? Obviously.

-Last Wednesday, Felicia’s personal hero- Janice Dickinson cut the ribbon to the opening of her new modeling agency that will be a reality show coming to a TV near you this fall. Janice looks fabulous as usual with her joker mouth in full effect.

And here are deuce ladies who are honor roller's on Dalicia's Hall O' Fame; J to the L-O and S J Pizzle. Both ladies dont look like they tried to hard *cough* Sienna Miller *cough* they can both never do no wrong in our eyes. Ladies take note because this is how it is donzo.

Okay words can’t even describe the butterflies I get when looking at the pictures of Loho and Queen Meryl Streep in the latest issue of W magazine. My partner in crime,Dal loves Angelina and Sienna the way I love Meryl so this is so trés bien for me right now.

Lindsay looks lovely and Meryl is the definition of class, beauty, intelligence and talent- she is basically everything Dalicia hopes to be when we are old broads.

The teen movie queen and tabloid regular is co-staring in a film with the greatest actress alive and these pictures are GORGEOUS. Lindsay is a Dalicia favourite but she looks like Wal-Mart chic compared to Meryl who happens to be Felicia’s proud girl crush and is looking hotter then ever in Vuitton.

Oh Naomi, you always get yourself into some trouble.

One of Dalicia's fav models of all time got arrested for beating her maid upside the head a la Russell Crow styles. During a filming in the supermodels home for an upcomming Oprah special she threw her phone at her maids head resorting the poor woman to a trip to the hospital and four stiches.

Naomi was cuffed yesterday but she did look pretty fabulous while they took her downtown to book her wearing a white poncho and oversized shades,what a diva.

First Fashion experience that you can remember: My first fashion experiences were being in love with my mother’s clothes ,dressing up and styling my dolls like supermodels. Wednesday, March 22nd 2006 ...for any regular shmoe this day means another run at Playstation 2 and a box of Lucky Charms on the side, or another trip to the mall to check out UB’s latest “vintage” (but crisp as split-ends) tees.
But in the realm of Dalicia, that day marked the coveted 24-hours yet to be matched by our own competition, ourselves.

After Dalicia’s brush with death from a local cabbie we headed to Starbucks where we bumped into Daniel, the lovely designer,stylist and party promoter from Fashion Week in Starbucks. Not only was Daniel looking more fabulous than ever but he told Dalicia about a crazy party he is promoting on the 30th in the T-dot that we have to check out.

As our knees slightly buckled we had our interviews with the lovely folks at Fashion Television. We have been planning this out for ages now and the atmosphere of the Fashion head quarters was very laid back and positive. The interview seemed like a great conversation which made us giggle on how nervous we were for it. We also saw Mr. Glen Baxter working hard and looking suave at his desk; we heart Glen and enjoyed everyone we met from FT.

After our separate interviews at FT we headed to Second Cup, yes we crossed the street to go from Starbucks to Second Cup because we are losers like that (and you can never have too much caffeine) . Anyways as Felicia grabbed her drink and Dalia waited for the one-man washroom to clear up (washroom breaks are Dalicia’s favourite past-time) we saw the very gorgeous, Dina Pugliese.

You know Dina from anchor/ reporter of “The A-list”, and now Chum’s Star-TV and the dramatic host of MuchMusic’s big show “The MuchMusic VJ Search”…Dina you are so on the air. Dina could not have been more genuine, down to earth, and drop-dead gorgeous as she was when she bumped into Dalicia.

Dalicia has been watching the reality show since its premier and loved Dina’s hosting jobs, she always keeps us on edge before announcing which sad VJ hopeful gets the boot while looking like 6 million bucks too.

“It is very dramatic because I have the job in sending one of them off the air so I get in my Tyra [Banks] mode “ Dina laughs. With long locks of virtually perfect hair and a chic outfit that she called “her rags”, Dina is the kind of TV personality that Dalicia would love to be like once we are done getting our school on.

Dina is not only the pretty face behind the hit reality show looking for the next Rick the temp or Rachel Perry (our favorite VJ’s from the past) but She was also the one to create, write and co-anchor, “The A-List” an entertainment show where Dalicia gets a lot of our newsroom gossip from!

While we talked to our newest homie she told us some inside scoop on the show…

On Much VJ search the tension is high but when the camera’s go off what are the judges really like?

“We all get along great, everyone is so busy but me and Kardinal just saw a Raptors game together last week” the host told us which dismisses all the juicy rumours about any sort of feud.

But what about the VJ hopefuls?

“They are all like my children so I never want to see them go. I hate being the one to tell them they are off the air! So when they leave its liking watching your own children leave.”

So everyone stay tuned to the MUCH VJ SEARCH because Dina assured us that this Monday there is a chance to vote back one of your favourite contestants. Hopefully Eric leaves and Tim the cute Rick the Tempish guy comes back.

So as Second Cup becomes our new office we hope to see Dina and her nice producer there again not only because she dished some dirt to us and was one of the nicest people ever but because she is part of Dalicia.

“ Dalicia? That’s fabulous but let’s make it Dalicina now!” Dina smiled.

Fashion Week wasn’t just free swag and breath- taking designs; it was all about the fabulous people we met.

Introducing our fashion week homies:

The York University duo:

Connie and Juan. What can we say about those two? Fashion week without Juan and Connie would be like watching FT minus Jeanne…it would be unbearable. Juan et Connie aka JUANNIE are film students that know just about as much as fashion as Dalicia…that’s popozao. Juan is single and stylish while Connie is best described by Juan, “She’s like my puppy who would look great in a Gucci bag.” Dalicia loves you, Juannie and misses both of you tons.

The creative New Yorker:

Karina is pitching mucho ideas to Paul ,the creative mastermind behind dozens of ads including Parasuco. We first met this lovely man when we were mutually punking the free L’Oreal lipstick and nail polish in the Media Lounge (when Hamilton’s in the house nothing is left no free razors or lip-gloss gets left behind).

Toronto Fashion Week defiantly brought out the Wionna Rider in us but hey it was free and yes you can take the girl out of Hamilton but you can’t take the Hamilton out of the girl! On the topic of free stuff…

The lovely Bacardi girls looking wonderful in white. Don’t know who these gals were but they kept the free drinks coming and for that, we salute you.

Tommy the photographer:

The way Tommy wanted to take Dalicia’s pictures during the fabulous week was the same way we wanted to steal Tommy Ton and bring him back to Hamilton. Tommy works behind the camera but looks like he needs to be in front of it wearing gold boots, that he spray- painted himself! Kendra and Kyla Francis were wonderful girls we met in the ever so popular media lounge. Kendra [left] is the designer behind the new and ever so sexy line , Franke as well as part of the Cru TV team and her sister Kyla is a model. “I have a feeling we aren’t in Hamilton anymore…”

I love Dorothy. She was a stylish young girl who had dreams of an imaginary world that she escaped to in her wonderful plaid print dress and ruby slippers. Sure she is a fictional character but the only thing I can compare my first day at Fashion Week to is the awe Dorothy was in when she stepped into the Land of Oz

Dancing munchkins were replaced by botoxed couture clients, celebrities and instead of talking animals or friends made out of straw or tin I was accompanied down the yellow brick road…I mean red carpet by two fabulous friends.

This land was something that entertained my imagination since I was a child but living it was a totally different realm. The people in this magical land of fashion didn’t groan or roll their eyes at our outfits or dislike the topics that I held so dearly to me which was the art of fashion like those we went to school with or bump into in H-Town. Wearing a polka dot coat with a chiffon dress and a cashmere bonnet a la Jackie O style wasn’t out of the ordinary and that was what I adored.

The land of thousand dollar dresses and seven-hundred dollar purses, where men wore make-up and purses while women went braless in sheer dresses. The casual hugs and kiss on the cheek I give to my closest friends was replaced by air kisses almost a foot away from both cheeks as an exaggerated puckering sound from perfect strangers met both my ears on multiple occasions.

The first thing I thought was that Fashion isn’t the industry to get into if I plan on making new friends or finding my significant other because you are a nobody unless you happen to be a somebody. Also the men are drop dead gorgeous but also share the same taste for men in eye liner that I happen to have. I couldn’t have been more wrong about assuming that everyone was as fake as the old woman sitting across from me sipping champagne as her plastic looking face did a faux- smile as one of her many minions petted her very real fur coat.

I met fabulous people who I have read their articles purchased their magazines or watched their television shows for years and I have experienced things that even my dreams couldn’t capture. What I will hold dear to me are the perfect strangers I have met that we sat with on the sidelines of the amazing fashion shows and had genuine conversations with in a lounge exclusively available to members of the media.

Being recognized while sitting in the front row of a brilliant French designers show and then being handed business card after business card that all are interested in what I have to offer, I really felt like Dalicia belongs in this land of OZ.

Instead of singing and skipping down a yellow brick road I was walking down a red carpet to my seat over and over again. Smiles and compliments replaced looks of curiosity and stuck-up glares as the days went on.

Once I opened my now filled notepad with my cranberry and vodka cocktail in hand and pen in the other, I knew this was what I wanted to do. Watching walking coat hangers, I mean models trot down the runway in breath taking clothing while I jotted down my opinions and observations as music blasted and blinding flashes flickered from eager photographers.

This was a place that very few can venture and even fewer get accepted into so it was an honor to talk with respected writers and stylists that I can only wish I can grow up to be like. Sure this is a land that is extremely materialistic and filled with sex, drugs and a variety of disorders but it’s also filled with passionate people who eagerly share their VIP status, experiences and opportunities with you at the drop of a dime simply because you share the same passion as them.

The fact that just hours ago we were posing for magazine photographers, interviewing designers, photographers and models is something I still can’t grasp. In weeks from now the small group of journalism students will be back to class where we have a stack of assignments due and stories waiting to be covered.

I know that this isn’t the end of my dream because unlike Dorothy, this is one girl who aint clicking her heels anytime soon.

Fashion Week is FIN!

Dalicia avec Karina et our bitch (Ian) just experienced the most amazing time of our lives thus far. Right now we are truly in a state of shock and bliss, we cant imagine the idea of returning back to class (whenever the strike is over) and crying over how bored and fashion ignorant everyone is.

Going into fashion week we were shaking in our snakeskin heels about everything from our outfits down to our reporting skills but it turned out that wearing our grandma hats got high praise and we jotted down mucho notes.

Fashion Week was amazing and once we get some sleep and soak everything in that has happened expect tons of updates. The shows were great but the people we met were FABULOUS! Pictures and interviews of designers,models,members of the media and of course the clothing that made us literally tear up in our cozy front row seats is all coming up real soon.

Whether you know or not, George Clooney has had my heart locked up and and sealed with a key he only has possession of for years now. And when he oh-so deservingly took home thee golden statuette, also known as an ACADAMY Award for best supporting actor in a motion picture, i cried...and am not even going to try and deny it.

Yes little one's, you heard correctly, i cried when he was up there, thanking the Acadamy and his fellow nominees. He looked absolutely lavish and so genuinely grateful for his win.
In my opinion, he deserved it. I mean, he packed on 35 pounds for the role, he has endured countless neck and other body-part injuries, in which he has had numerous surgeries for, and he still looked damn sexy. I mean, who else is capable of such a performance? Point proven!

Congrats Georgy...and we all look forward to a prosperous future full of Clooney intellect and influence.

The 6’7 world wonder sums up everything Dalicia has been going thru thus far. We can’t even begin to describe everything but ever since day uno we have had specific goals that we promised we would get done but there is one thing that was a true dream like Stella McCartney for H&M type of dream.

Picture this fashionista’s….

Walking down the always busy Queen Street in downtown Toronto hand in hand with your best amiga wearing round toed four inch heels that you do a silent prayer while wearing because you are afraid of the fall you would experience if your strut wasn’t right. You have your briefcase in your manicured hand and your friends hand in the other as you wear your fur trimmed tailored vintage coat a la Elizabeth Taylor or velvet single buttoned capette with the type of confidence that is only attainable by fashion maharishi, Isabella Blow. As you walk you think about the dream you both mutual fantasized about during three hour lectures and that is getting a chance at working at Fashion Television- the home of Jeanne Beker and 20 years of prestigious fashion coverage. This isn’t a local news station where the biggest fashion news is your hometown hockey team getting new jerseys- this is huge. This is the company that Anna Wintour, Andre Leon Talley,Isabella Blow, Hillary Alexander and fashions royalty make countless appearances on because they are homies with her majesty, Ms. Beker. Well as you two arrive at the building of the most prestigious fashion channel and program in the world you remember how this was the point on your to-do list that had little stars and hearts around it because it was the one thing that would start everything for you.

Do you ask your friend to pinch you or do you turn to her and say… “Let’s do it, lover!”

Checking your school email to only find out that the one new message is from FT to set up an interview is the kind of thing that Dalicia still can’t even believe. Dare we pinch ourselves? No because Andre the stylish giant wouldn’t do such a thing and neither would we.

Cross your fingers and your toes for us because your two favourite journalism students are off to venture into a land that very few fashionista’s get the chance at.

Dalicia got all dolled up in the polka dots with fur capes and got our drink/party on big time! It was a great night and one to go down in the record books, which awards did Dalicia get nominated for? NADA! C'mon obviously this wasnt a shocker. Miuccia Prada is currently in talks with H&M to become the latest designer to work with the Swedish based company. It is currently unconfirmed but late Wednesday H&M and Prada are said to have had discussions about collaborating on clothing and accessories.

Miuccia has a billion-dollar industry behind her name so this will only boost her to the mainstream market of us folk who can’t shop at Prada all the time. Also it’s been recently reported that Milan is no longer the home of Miu Miu shows but is heading to Paris. Maybe this is just to further distance Miu Miu from Prada and set more of a division up.

This is mucho great news for Dalicia but one disappointing thing is that there is an H&M coming to Hamilton which means that there will be a city filled with teeny boppers walking around in H&M threads instead of Urban Behavior, gag! This means Dalicia is going to have to ditch our Toronto trips to H&M and look for another mainstream store to buy out whenever we have some cash- back to the vintage boutiques we go.

In local fashion news, Dalicia met Jeremy a first year Advertising student at an after party on Thursday night and he is fabulous! He is not only one cool dude to get tipsy with and has a great head of hair but is looking into starting his own label! How great is that? Well as you all know, New York fashion week just wrapped up last week. All the big fashion heavy-weights were out and nothing was off limits. No specific breakthrough trend was evident for Spring oh-six, but what was in fact conveyed in each show was that this season screams for "be your own person"--No rules this season in fashion.

But what I was keeping my eyes out was for our very own D-Squared show. This Shifting my bias focus from the women line to analyze the latest in the male world. And what a FASHIONABLE world it is.

D-Squared has never been a "in-the-box" type of designers, always opting for more eccentric, original designs. That might be because of their lovely Canadian background. Here's a look at just some of the designs:

Yee-Hawwwww! That's all i got to say about Mr Dan and Deans Spring collection.
And a note to all guys reading this....a little bit of bronzer goes a looooooooooooong way... never be afraid of a good sun-kissed glow. It's a wonder on what a difference it makes.

This season for the two masters at hand was leather and denim gilletsripped denim, cowboy hats, flawless pointed cowboy boots, and overalls...ya thats right-OVERALLS. And as for where these two gods got inspired.... perhaps after half a bucket of unbuttered popcorn, three seats to the front of a movie theatre, for Brokeback Mountain.

I dont even know what to say, this makes me weak in the knees and I want to make sweet passionate love to Diane Vonfabulousberg. Okay maybe thats taking it one step too far but she is BRILLIANT! The working woman theme is money and she mixes textures and patterns so well. BRAVO! Dalicia gives DVF Fall 2006 four "heyyyyyyy" out of four(which is perfection)

ANNA SUI SPRING/SUMMER COLLECTION 06-boho reborn before it ever died

Before we even had time to mourn boho its back thanks to Anna Sui. This collection was all about gorgeous floral patterns,loose layers and sheer fabrics. Its simple and elegant all at the same time. This is an effortless look that would flatter women of all shapes and sizes.

BETSEY JOHNSON SPRING/SUMMER 06- j'adore bj

Betsey is one crazy old broad and spices up the runway everytime she has a show. This spring according to BJ is a 60's flashback with Warhol era looks and either solid colours or flower child baby doll dresses- it looks great. We cant help but wonder if Sienna Miller has had an influence on this collection but if one thing Betsey stuck gold with was a chochet dress.Also There is more BJ at the end of this posting simply for the fact that we are in love with the messy ponytails, bows and polka dots. Loves it, like always.

HEATHERETTE SPRING/SUMMER 06- ghetto glam

Ghetto gold, oversized straw hats,gloves and colored plastic sunglasses ! Heatherette was surprisingly really amazing with this collection. The accessories alone almost stole the show, in our opinion. Heatherette slightly stepped away from the over the top rock star/drag queen look for a New York minute. Floral patterns, beaters with skirts and of course the postal worker shorts. This collection mixes ghetto chic with feminine flare and the two queens of Heatherette meshed the fusion perfectly.

DVF SPRING/SUMMER 06- diane vonfabulousberg does it again!

Brilliant,breath taking,amazing,elegant,gorgeous,mature,beautiful,classy,chic and I can go on for hours. I dont even want to touch upon this masterpiece of a collection and let the pictures speak for itself. Diane Vonfurstenberg is a genius and had the best Spring/Summer 06 show in Olympus fashion week. Me happens to think that she is Dalicia's favorite designer at the moment.

As for liner, experiment with a regular black pencil, or for a more subtle but yet provocative statement, try charcol.

I gotta get crackin on this blog...but lover Felicia is doin an amazingass job, as u all can gander. Lets all give her a round of applause (Felicia stands up and dawns a Jackie-O bow)...

Well fellow Dalicia followers, this week was a long and boring one in the world of First Year Journalism, our beloved, one and only D-money (aka Darryl) hasn't been in school these past few long and lonely days. He is the heart and soul and good looks of the Journalism course. And it sure as hell shows when he's not there.

First of all... someone came up with the smart idea to put Dalicia in charge of filming, editing and dubbing, all in one day? Dongle...can anyone tell us where the hell that's supposed to go? It still boggles this mind. And on top of all that, we had to go in the snowstorm that just so happend to take place the same day Dalicia got ripped off filming. Man life is tough...D-Money please come back to us...we're a mess in there without you big guy.....Hope you feel amazing ASAP you big Galute.......and as Dalicia says "Luv ya"

But then the day took a dramatically good turn. Dalicia was noticing lot's of amazing Mohawk Fashion. It's such an awesome thing that Felicia had her cam ready to roll just in time! Who knew that there were so many fellow Mohawktonoians that knew how to put a simple scarf, oversized sweater, boots and colourful vintage inspired purse together all in one outfit, with looking like absolute-overkill... it nearly brought tears to my eyes. I'm so proud of ya'll...keep the halls lookin good.

As you all know, things are peeping through quite exquisitely for Dalicia (knock on wood**). On top of the the fantastical email we received from madame Jeanne (from her personal blackberry, need i remind you?) we got our own radio show (plug: C101.5 every Thursday from 12:30 - 3:300...catch ya live!), so that you can hear us go on and on, completely out of control (lord help the listeners out there), and we drop a few lines here and there to the Satellite, regardless if they're published or not (which does piss us off at some points...we're not gonna lie). But with the good comes the nitty-gritty. We have been feeling a little bit of a somewhat hostility from other fellos (that will remain nameless). Now I don't want to jump to any conclusions, but it's either that they're just sick of Dalicia's constant ramblings on the latest haute couture, or they're just a wee bit sista-haters. Who knows? All Dalicia knows--and cares about-- is that we love the point in which we are at right now: first name basis with Madame Jeanne, and total BFF with Darryl!!

Why we love it?: Laura is a quiet classmate that isnt a loud mouth foul fool like the majority of us BJ's but she keeps to herself (acts her age and not her shoe size like a boy named Nick Jameson)and always looks so stylish,relaxed and classy while doing it. Why we love it? Karina aka my snookie wookie bear is always fabolous. Karina is also Dalicia's muse, we love playing dress up with her and then taking tons of lovely pictures. She was the inspiration in a photoshoot for an advertising project and is always down to walk around downtown with her boobs popping out and bare legs in the dead of winter- loves it!She loves shopping alongside Dalicia at local second hand stores and vintage boutiques. She is not only hot shit but can spot a fur Galliano coat a mile away in a rack of junk at Value Village, lucky girl has an eye for spotting out killer finds- its her gift from God.

Dalicia just isn’t about fashion, we happen to be two young women who know a whole lot more about politics than wearing pearls and wearing mock Jackie O outfits. On that note I would like to share something with everyone. It was recently my first time being able to vote here in Canada and it was an eye opening experience to say the least.

Going into the elections I was going to vote liberal and putting aside all scandal allegations and reports I did enjoy the fact that Canada had the lowest un-employment rates, local hospitals were staying up and running, my gay and lesbian friends were able to form a legal union and that there were promises of a better system for College and university students.

What saddened me was the student apathy. When did we all turn into ignorant members of society? I did many interviews on and off the record with over dozens of students and friends but pardon moi language but no one knew shit. Overall these intelligent people couldn’t set the facts from fiction but at least they had some sort of opinion unlike the many who just had the “oh well my opinion doesn’t matter anyways” attitude.

You don’t like your outfit so what do you do? You change it; the same rules apply with politics. Not all young members of the community didn’t care or couldn’t bother to look at a few facts. I had the pleasure of working with Ian Campbell, a fellow journalism student that happened to be Hamilton Mountain Liberal candidate, Mr. Bill Kelly’s media rep.

Ian worked around the clock to make sure that press releases were handled properly and did endless work for the Hamilton Liberals and that was defiantly something Dalicia admires. It doesn’t matter which party you support but to have a dedication in what you believe in is a fabulous thing. So from Felicia from Dalicia to Ian, thanks bitch and I cant wait till you are Prime Minister someday and I can be your assistant or stylist or something fun right? Anyways..

I attended a televised debate with Ian and a few other events and to see the enthusiasm from perfect strangers was an overwhelming experience. On the other hand it was also disgusting to see the low blows people are willing to give out in politics. At a debate I attended one older gentleman told me that I look like I just got out of my diapers and “How the hell are they letting kids vote?”

Maybe apathy is caused by discouragement from our “wise” elders? That didn’t deter me from making my voice heard whatsoever- if anything it only made me want to express my right to vote even more.

From the months, weeks and days leading up to the elections it all boiled down to spending hours working in a poll to fully get the whole voting experience. I watched hundreds of voters cast their votes and even got my fair share of dirty looks for being a young female with a “Liberal Representative” name tag on my wool capette courtesy of the Gap.

I had the task of being a scrutinizer so basically all I did was make sure every vote was legally marked and that there were no counting problems- we didn’t want another Florida type of accident happening here.

There were in fact quite a few discrepancies with the voting but that wasn’t a factor in the NDP taking over the Hamilton Mountain or Canada being run by a Bush loving moron.

Overall this was a very positive experience but instead of being one of those kids who just watches occasional clips on TV about arguing politicians and couldn’t care less what the outcome was- I actually did take this more personal. It was disappointing to see the work of hundreds of people go down the tubes. To see Bill Kelly a man who was a broadcast journalist that has been heavily involved in Hamilton and politics no longer have a standing was kind of sad.

In conclusion the only way I can sum up my experience is to compare it to fashion (duh!)

The Liberals were Chanel- a highly prestigious member of society that has been recently subjected to scandal. This was all like some big fashion show, the glitz the glam- the fake hello’s and disgruntled gossip in the debates (red carpets). When show time came it seems like all the trash talking and low blows meant nothing at all- it was all about what Canada wanted as a majority…I guess? It kind of seems like for the next 24 months we are all going to be forced into wearing fake Louis Vuitton. Next time I guess it’s up the young members of society to step up to the plate and know the difference between a knock off from the real deal eh?

In my perfect world- Jeanne Beker would be Prime Minister and D- Squared would have seats on parliament so fashion would be first on the agenda! Because lets face it no one really cares that tuition fees are molesting us or that we are becoming BFF’s with George W. ... K, that might have been exaggerated but you guys get the point.

Mohawk College is not only the home to over 10,000 students and the fabulous BJ’s but the place where fashion makes its occasional appearances in the smelly hallways. Also it was once said that Dalicia doesn't tend to males, well monseiur today is your lucky day because today Dalicia is showcasing three very different but great looks for the fellas.

Seeing stylish individuals in Hamilton is like seeing Nicole Richie eating a Big Mac with a super sized fry- its mission impossible but there are its exceptions and here are some of them:

Wearing: A brown cashmere sweater with a cord blazer and a fierce plaid patterned scarf. Mimi is sporting a pair of jeans that are cuffed right above his sexy Vans slip ons.
Why we love it?: The emancipation of Mike “Mimi” Mitchell is in full effect. Mimi is a fellow classmate of Dalicia and he always has a fierce outfit pulled together with an attitude to match. Mimi is a musican and journalism student that is not only a nifty dresser but one solid bitch. Keep up the effortless yet pulled together look, Mimi. Loves it.

Name: Tim.
Age:19-24?
Wearing: A poor boy hat,beaten up leather jacket, zip up hoodie layered over top of a stripped t shirt with loose jeans. Oh ya and an amazing belt tops off the grunge look oh so perfectly!
Why we love it?: Uhm can you say Kurt Cobain?loves it! Dalicia isnt just fans of high end fashion worthy of FT segments but all sorts of looks and this look is one we heart greatly. Dalicia met Tim at a rehearsal for a play we are dancing/singing in and we couldn’t help but stare at the Kurt Cobain look alike. Tim’s look is very modern day grunge and looks like he isnt afraid to express his own style as an individual. All Dalicia hopes is that we see Timmy at more rehearsals so we can see what else is in his wardrobe.

Age:19
Wearing: The traditional white boy preppy beach kid look.
Why we love it?: Nictorious is one crazy ass kid from the 416 and is always a guarenteed giggle in class. While Nick may not even be able to pronounce couture properly or get why Dalicia has heart attacks over new episodes of FT, he is always a guy who embraces Dalicia with mad support even though he is making a name for himself around the newsroom as a threatening psycopath. Nick wears flip flops and shorts in the cold Canadian winter weather and is a walking advertisment for American Eagle. Unique? I don’t think so but Nick sure is confident in his Zach Morris 2006 style. Holler back St.Nick!

Can you believe it? Cus we sure as hell couldn’t. Getting that email was unlike anything we’ve ever felt… I never knew what a stroke felt like till today. As Dalicia likes to say that was “f***ing POPZAO” !!!
Dalicia will be next on Ms. Beker’s list, after she finishes sipping tea with C. Lox (Christian Leqroix) and discussing ideas for Valentino’s Sping/Summer line.

1) MERYL WEARS PRADA!

Based on best-selling author, Lauren Weisberger's novel, The Devil wears Prada is going to theatres! It is about a young woman from a small town(Anne Hathaway) that moves to NYC to work for a big time fashion editor named Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) who is the bossy bitch from hell, loves it!

This reminds me a whole lot of a certain Editor at the most prestigious fashion rag in the world, Anna Wintour in which the author of this novel turned motion picture was an assistant for the head cheese over at Vogue...interesting.

The film comes out summer of 06 and you bet your flat leather boots that Dalicia will be there opening night not only because this is right up our ally but because Meryl is one hot ol' broad not to mention the greatest actress of ALL time.

2)SPICE UP YOUR RUNWAY!

In true Posh Spice fashion , David Beckham's baby mama looked oh-so-plastic and greasy as she appeared on the catwalk at Mens' Fashion Week in Milan.

The ex-Spice Girl opened the Roberto Cavalli show after being personally invited by the Italian designer! Victoria led out the male models who modelled Cavalli's autumn winter collection 2006- 2007.

Posh always has jaw dropping clothing and her closet(s) must be enough to give a young fashiontista multiple orgasms but how come she always looks like she needs some Oxy Oil pads? Like whats going on with the pores, Vicky?Whatever just as long as you end up doing a massive Spice Girls reunion then all will be good.

3)Every High School girls[actress] worse prom[award show] nightmare!

Chanel pulled a fast one on Golden Globe winner, Reese Witherspoon,oh boy! The actress wore an ugly Chanel white-and-silver "vintage" dress.[I cant believe ugly-chanel and vintage were all in the same sentence!] It wasnt vintage and to make matters worse it was worn by Kirsten Dunst to the same award show-after party three years back!

Witherspoon's PR rep, is said to be so angry at Chanel for giving her a recently recycled gown and that she will NOT accept anything from Chanel again! Dalicia understands how it would be embarassing but refusing Chanel? God people are sick.

Then again its like back in the day when you had your prom dress all set until some zero no name brand hoochie walks into the dance wearing the same thing but on top of it- you were lied to about the make and date of the dress!Reese- we feel your pain, it isnt your fault so Chanel told a little white lie but then again before that Johnny Cash movie came out your Legally B-listed ass should have been lucky to even smell fabric from Uncle Karlito Legerfeld.

Chanel can do no wrong even though the dress was kinda ugly and wasnt vintage but from 2003 instead of 1954 ,they told a fib but its because they can.

Mr.Blackwell preaches the truth(?)

This past Tuesday fashion guru, Mr.Blackwell gave out his Top ten worst dressed list. Dalicia usually agrees with Monsieur Blackwell but we have a few WTF moments in this traditional list. Here ya go:

1.Britney Spears- Dalicia AGREES! Britney looks like a train wreck at all times. The poor ex-sex symbol is so rich yet so damn clueless. It seems like her trailor trash husband has rubbed off on her and she has ditched her ground breaking skanky video award show wardrobe for threads worthy for a bingo hall PS. buy a bra!

2.Mary Kate Olsen- Uhmmm...WTF!! Mary Kate is a young style ICON in the making, this is ridiculous. Sure the tiny Olsen twin dresses like a street kid in downtown Toronto trying to wash your windows at a stop light but she is so fabolous when she glams herself up! Without Mary Kate there would be no bangle,over sized beads or tights craze. Whatever Mr.Blackwell, Dalicia loves it.

3. Jessica Simpson- Sure Jessica has her ups and many downs but is she a walking faux pas? No we dont think so. When the time comes from the newly divorced bimbo to impress she always delivers. Maybe Chestica Simpson needs some variety in her wardrobe and start experimenting with new looks but other than that she doesnt deserve a spot on this list.

4.Eva Longoria- I don't know exactly what it is about Eva that I dont like. Maybe its her barely there acting abilities or the fact that blind fools compare her to SJP in which I get extremely furious and end up in a rage- I dont know what it is. Eva isnt a trend setter of any kind or takes any dares whatsoever.

5. Mariah Carey- Oh dear Lord, Mimi has the style of a drag queen on ladies night at the local queer club. Musically, Mariah is fabolous but she needs to start buying couture in her size and realize that to dress like a diva it doesnt mean you have to ALWAYS wear a ball gown and stillettos (a diva that knows how to look like a fierce bitch for example is Mary J Blige, Mimi take notes.) Mariah is the best but please start dressing appropriate to a) the occassion and b) your size.

6. Paris Hilton- AMMMMEENNNN! Can I get a hallelujah?! Mr.Blackwell hit the nail right on the head with this one. The useless socialite can actually afford to look like a million bucks yet she dresses like a 4.99 special at wal-mart. Trucker hats,sweat pants and bum cleavage? Ms. Hilton, you have no excuse for this.

7. Anna Nicole Smith- There is nothing to even say about that woman.

8. Shakira- Bla! She is boring,boring and boring.

9. Lindsay Lohan- Mr.Blackwell must be smoking/sniffing the same stuff Loho has been hitting. Linds is a rolemodel to young women everywhere, actually no she's not but her fashion is the prime example of chic couture at its finest. Lindsay is B.F.F with Uncle Karl so who gives a flyin' you-know-what if Mr.Blackwell likes her or not.

10. Renee Zellweger- So pointless, there is nothing to hate or love.

Dalicia is back in school after a delightfully long Christmas break, well actually Dalia (the more responsible and intelligent half of Dalicia) is at school right now- keeping a close eye on things while I am at home with a deadly hang over on my way to a job interview(wish me luck since I am so broke that I cant even shop at the Salvation army, tear* ) Anyways there isnt much news except for a few items:

Numero Uno:

Oscar winner Halle Berry is the new face of Versace! According to sources she was HAND picked by Donatella Versace herself! The 39 year old will be advertising the Palm Springs collection for spring summer 2006, so keep an eye out!

Speaking of new faces, rocker Meg White from the White Stripes is the new face for Marc Jacobs. The folks at MJ must have wanted a less glamorous and raw look for their spring/summer campaign. I like my models looking glamorous but its refreshing to see something different too.

On Newstands now is Loho posing topless for Vanity Fair and here are some of the photos.

In the Loho issue she admits to drug use and having eating disorders, I am going to act shocked. Either way these pictures look like a Marilyn Monroe photo shoot lacking the curvy figure and sex appeal but I am liking the Gidget/60's beach vibe.

Exciting news in the world of the "very first supermodel!":

Jan Dick has just landed a 10 episode deal with Oxygen aka the middle aged women network to have her own reality show. The show that is still left untitled is about Janice Dickinson finding her own "top models" to start a modeling agency. I cant wait to see the drama and the feisty comments from the reality star and supermodel. Good for Janice moving on after ANTM, that crazy bitch made the show anyways.

Spring 2006 here we come, but before we ditch our layers and furs for lovely lengths and head to the nearest fake n' bake tanning salon to prepare for skin bearing fashion here is what’s to expect.

The ‘Very few fashionista’s can pass this off but if you are one of the few rare bitches who can- rock it!’ look of Spring 2006 goes to: Gwen Stefani’s L.A.M.B collection.

When the rocker- turned- pop singer- turned actress- turned designer showed off her line back in September 2005 there were no real shockers. It was a Rasta girl from Orange County that has watched one too many Silver screen flicks and loves to steal ideas from her stylish Japanese b.f.f.

Spring 2006 for L.A.M.B is vibrant colours, droopy dresses worn with detailed belts with a tint of 1940’s Hollywood. What I personally enjoyed most about this season is that L.A.M.B balances a sporty urban look well with a high end fashion feel that doesn’t look too unattainable yet not every mall rat in town can go out to Dynamite Clothing or Stitches to grab a knock off- phew.

L.A.M.B continues to take dares in the fashion world but it still lacks in the creativity department since the Stefani line looks like a wardrobe rehearsal for a heavy rotated MTV music video than a fresh new season of clothing. In conclusion L.A.M.B is unique in regards to comparison with the high end fashion world with it’s corn rows, punk rock and heavily Japanese influence but if you take away the rock star behind the line will the wow-factor fade? One fashionista wonders if pregnant Gwen will step outside her comfort box or MTV mode and step up to the plate in the near future. Holla back girl!

The ‘ Hey, even I can wear that shit!’ look of Spring 2006 goes to : Marc by Marc Jacobs.

Dalicia hearts Marc Jacobs so even though I am trying to have an un-biased opinion on the line I cant even come up what the hell do I know anyways? Well I happen to know that MBMJ isn’t anything extraordinarily different from previous work but remains fresh and delightful.

Spring of 06’ line looks like a high school function on the runway but one without the sluts, nerds, jocks and stoners. Marching band jackets and hats, leather zipper jackets a la Michael Jackson and tights looking like something straight from dance class. Marc by Marc Jacobs is suited for a younger age demographic that wants to dress to impress yet isn’t ballsy enough to wear something from Boy George’s eccentric line, B-Rude

If anyone took a blast to the past with Spring 06 fashion it is the ever so classy, Diane Von Furstenberg. Bold prints, cocktail dresses and basically anything you would see in Mrs. Cleaver’s wear on an episode of 'Leave it to Beaver' but with a chic contemporary flare. Out of any 2006 line this one would have to be the one of the classiest, simplest and cutest. This DVF collection doesn’t need elaborate patterns or accessories because it can stand on its own as modern day elegance without all the extras.

2005 is just about done and after a 10+ hour shopping spree in Toronto, Dalicia is tired!Stella McCartney for H&M has been one of the highlights of the year without a doubt! We like to give back to our community so even though we are running off no sleep, I- Felicia Dalicia Bo-Beesha decided to give you a sneak peak at 2006 fashion, enjoy!

Louis Vuitton Spring 2006

Pocahontas meets Louis:

-Expect to see a lot of nude items matched up with stones,jewels and encrusted details with a hint of Pocahontas inspired pieces.
-Colourful dresses,suits and pink is the new black for Vuitton with Marc Jacobs.
-Over the top plastic accessories,bags and scarves that match perfectly with the nude,pink and solid black pieces in the collection.

Galliano Spring 2006

A Circus freak show, loves it:

-Johnny boy’s Spring pieces weren’t disappointing in the least bit but the actual runway show was the most impressive. John Galliano used everything but the typical bone rack models and used tattoo filled, middle aged, short ,overweight and average Joes alike for his show. John proved that even when his clothing isn’t on coke junkies strutting down the runway it can still look amazing.
-Black & white, pink,lace,layers,gold and glam, this collection looked like something out of a circus- a well designed heavily detailed multi million dollar circus that is.
-Props to Mr. Galliano for daring to be different and changing the fashion world.

Valentino Spring 2006

Elegance never goes out of style:

-Cropped pants, fitted suits, elegant floral dresses and black & white suits.
-It wasn’t all black& white but pieces with gold and pink accents.
-No chunky sandals,boots or heels but simple flats or elegant thin heels.
-The floral dress is also here to stay!

Chanel Spring 2006

CHAAANNEELLL-OOOO:

-Karl’s 2006 line is filled with over sized flower brooches adding additional flare to his simple yet complex pieces.
-Lace isn’t as constantly used like previous collections while the lil’ black dress has been re-born into a sexy must have item for 06.
-Blouses and an array of necklaces are the perfect combination while the skinny denim look is perfect with the new slouchy sandal.
-A fixture in Uncle Karl’s closet is now hitting the runway big with cut off gloves, straight leg jeans with a chunky low cut boot.
-Chanel continues to stun the fashion world by mixing traditional with eccentricity ever so perfectly.

HAPPY 20th BIRTHDAY to FASHION TELEVISION! It has been 20 wonderful years of seeing Jeanne Beker reporting from Milan,Moscow,Toronto, New York, Paris and London!
"Before Fashion Television, Calvin Klein was just a name on your underwear or on your jeans. We put a face to that name and made celebrities out of these people," Jeanne says. "Now everyone wants to know 'who' everyone is wearing -- not just 'what.'" The fashion icon said in a recent interview.
Fashion Television is the older sister I have never had and Jeanne is very much so my fashion fairy god mother. FT just celebrated its 20th anniversary and while watching the one hour extravaganza I can’t help but get a bit teary eyed. Jeanne Beker has delivered nothing but the truth and what fashionista’s around the globe have been lusting after- that’s what is new and refreshing.
Besides being the host and segment producer of FT she is a columnist for the Globe & Mail. Jeanne is also the editor in chief of high end fashion magazine FQ and aligned with that is SIR a new magazine tailored to stylish, sophisticated and fashion educated. Jeanne is the definition of success not only in the fashion world but in journalism. When one of our prof’s or fellow classmates comments on how fashion isn’t real news and is “fluffy” we just shrug it off because Jeanne has always said “"What is journalism? Journalism, to me, is keeping a journal and telling people what goes on in my life”. That is exactly what Jeanne does, she invites millions of viewers from across the globe into her own world of fashion. Dalicia is the biggest Jeanne groupies ever but you cant help but feel that Jeanne is your friend that goes with you to the mall to tell you what exactly is going to turn heads and what will look incredibly stupid. Jeanne is a Canadian icon and the sole purpose why Dalicia is even in College trying to get our journalism on!
Watching the 20th anniversary special I realized that fashion is always evolving but is the one art form that can go back into the past and recycle what was a trend previously and make it new and exciting all over again. Just like relationships, African Collonialism and the beef between the Israeliti’s and Palestinian’s its all about looking to the past for answers. *Please excuse the random Africa and Middle Eastern war references but the brain is still on exam mode* Instead of desperatly looking into the future for answers maybe we should just look at the development since the past.

Anyways…

If Dalicia ever gets the chance to meet Ms. Beker we would like to tell her thank you for being our childhood hero and present day role model. Jeanne let us buy you a few rounds and lets talk fashion.

Happy Holidays! Alot has happened to Dalicia and yes we did survive our first College exams and assignments! Yay for us! Dalicia has a long To-Do list and in 2006- big stuff is going down including VOTE DALICIA the campaign to put fashion education and entertainment into The Sattalite, our college paper.

Anyways here is a quick update:

- America's Next Top Model crowned their new "top model", Nicole. WTF!Since when has Wal-Mart chic become a good look? Ever since the days of Yoanna and Jan Dick, ANTM has gone down the tubes. Bring back Janice and save what is left out of this stupid yet addictive show!!!

-On the topic of models. A Dalicia favorite model from back in the day, Iman herself wrote a book (who doesn't write books these days? ) Well Mrs.Bowie has a book about Women of Colour titled “The Beauty of Color: The Ultimate Beauty Guide for Skin of Color” and showcases make up tips from the Ol school supermodel for ethnic women. It is available at all bookstores now!
-Selma Blair is apparently the new face of Chanel, kind of disappointing but wait this just in…..

Lindsay chillin’ with Karl Lagerfeld!Those two would make the best BFF ever!Lindsay said that she will be modeling for Uncle Karl for Chanel in the near future! Isn't that lovely? Dalicia is excited for the outcome of Loho and Uncle Karly.

I wonder what Loho and Kate Moss discussed over a nice plate of blow? We are just kidding we heart Kate Moss and love seeing her out and about especially when its with her mini me in the making.

Tis’ the Season to be FABULOUS

A serious pandemic has struck the Mohawk community. Never mind exams, loans and struggling to meet multiple deadlines, Dalicia would like to discuss an overlooked winter-fashion crisis.

The frost bite nipping at your nose and bank accounts that look like they have been stolen by Mr. Grinch, can put a damper on anyone’s holiday shopping experience. Luckily for you, first year journalism students and full time fashionista’s Dalia and Felicia have a few pointers on how to bring some extra holiday cheer into your closet without breaking your Christmas budget.

Pop quiz kids:

What’s an important part of Russian History? Below-the-knee-semi- pointy toed- flat- heel-two-toned-buckled-boot. Isn’t that the perfect carol to any fashionista’s ear?

What is old, wrinkle-resistant, and gets better with age? No, it’s not our beloved Madge (Madonna)… fur of course! Let’s celebrate this cold Canadian weather by wearing fur inspired everything: scarves (any width, length, colour, or texture), jackets, hats and boots. If you are following in the footsteps of animal activist and fellow Canuck Pamela Anderson or just simply can’t afford the real deal, head over to your nearest Value Village for your best faux-fur find. P.S. no one will ever notice the difference. Keep in mind the “Rule le Deux”: Strut like its real and talk like its real. Trust us; people are going to assume that it’s real.

Short, long, thick and skinny. Picking the perfect scarf doesn’t have to become a calculated decision. Add any wool or hand-knit scarf to accessorize your winter wardrobe. Be a showstopper! No matter what the texture or pattern, a scarf is not only a way to beat the frosty-air, but the Dalicia way to vamp up any plain old tee shirt.

Blessed be thy Olsen twins. Though the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe may not lie in their hands, the recipe for the perfect grunge-glam look does. “Be rich…look homeless” is the philosophy behind this newly-respected, and often imitated, fashion movement. Untamed manes under wool toques, oversized-bug-eyed shades, and layered tee’s upon tees with sweaters that look straight out of grandpa’s closet, the ‘boho- bum’ look is a force to be reckoned with. This look is easily attainable. Grab a pair of scissors to a pair of worn out jeans and exaggerated beaded necklaces that resembles one you wore back in 1989 and you are all set to go. This look is not only guaranteed to turn heads but keep any woman on the go, bundled up courtesy of the layered ensemble.

Dalicia’s prediction for the New Year, you ask? Skin is so NOT in. For first time in couture- fashion history- we have Stella McCartney stepping into the mainstream world of fashion, designing affordable garments for sizes extra small to extra large. Fashion fantasy is quickly becoming an everyday wardrobe reality. If Britney Spears has hung up her belly bearing tops then maybe it’s about time we follow Mama Spears’ lead.

Fashion is leaning towards basic colours, and focusing on unique cuts to compliment any skin tone. Get into the holiday spirit, and donate all your ultra low-rise jeans leaving peak-a-boo bum cleavage, because lets face it, those fashion faux-pas were only getting you a pile of coal this year.

What’s coming to our closets next? From high waist trousers circa 1943, Victorian styled blouses, to tailored trench coats its all about the late-great fashion Royal Jackie O. This winters fashion leaves something to the imagination while leaving us feeling like we are still playing dress up in our comfiest attire. In 2006 we shouldn’t be looking to create something new to bring into our wardrobes but should take a walk down memory lane to predict the future of fashion. Till then Dalicia wishes you a safe and stylish holiday season!

Why in the world is K-Fed, oops I mean Daddy on this list? I really could have done without Eva Longoria since she is nothing inspiring neither is the newly divorced Jessica Simpson but out of ALL "celebrities " and I am using the world celebrity very loosely here, why was the corn row wearing jobless homie G on this list?

He is Britney Spears' sperm donor not someone that men are going to look up to for fashion advice or inspiration. I wonder if any young fellas look at pictures of K-Fed...oops I mean Daddy and think "Hmmm I think I need to get me some phat trucker hats,a can of red bull and a wife beater yo".

Let me gag a little right now.

Young men dont really have any fashion icons to look up to. Sure us ladies have endless inspirations left-right-centre but guys in the 18-30 age bracket look up to Fifty Cent or Good Charlotte for stylish tips. Yuck. We have Stella McCartney for H&M while they have G-Unit by 50 Cent and his unit of Gorilla pals. Fellas lets put away the jeresy's,chunky running shoes and save that stuff for the basketball court.

Inconclusion Mr.Britney Spears doesnt have sidewalk chic look. He has the dirty mall rat that chills with his homies infront of Old Navy but still keeps it real look. Sidewalk chic is someone who looks effortless but in all factuality put time and money into their look. The grunge/boho/bum look only looks good when the person wearing it isnt un-employed and has paid big bucks to look poor and lazy.

If Kevin is on this list for being "sidewalk chic" then why isnt Britney on here for being oh so fabolous walking around braless,barefoot while wearing a Pebbles Flinstone ponytail and a belly top showing off her post preggo stomach ?

Good style is not something we're all born with. You either have it or we don't. But don't fret just yet... One majour rule of thumb in figuring out your own personal style, is make it reflect your identity, and not your wannabe-class-mates. If you aren't by nature an uber-fashionista, then Dalicia suggests that you don't try to be becuase a true, pro-created fashionistas can always, and we mean ALWAYS tell the difference. However, if you're just dieing to look oh-so ooh-la-la, then just look at what you already have in your closet. The truth of the matter is, that the isshhh you got piled-up to Afghanastan already, can be put together in a way to make you the next fashion-shero. And what you already got is all you need...since true style awareness comes from within.

And remember... don't let your clothes wear you, you wear the clothes.

Hello lovers! How are you? We are fabolous[like usual] or at least we like to attempt to look and feel fabolous even though school is disguisting. Who would have thought becoming a Journalist would have been such a difficult task? Here we have been thinking we could just go infront of a camera and be the next Oprah's or Canadians version of Paula Zahn, we have been sadly informed that it isnt the way it works out.

Deadlines are fast approaching and so is the fact that we have a handful of tests,exams and articles all to be published around the same date. I hate the zero's who created this sick school system.Our classmates are grumpy and are snapping under the pressure but Dalicia continues to keep it real [ raise the roof bitches!] we would rather just pretend we have nothing to stress about and talk about pointless news in Pop culture[ Brit & Kevin are the worlds biggest custy's and that Nick & Jessica are donzo!] . Jumping off the Mountain Brow while screaming "I hate AVIIDDD" sounds pleasurable.[avid is a news room editing program that we are too stupid to even grasp]

Everyone heading into a miserable 2 weeks of cramming and deadlines before Santa all comes and visits us just keep it cool and perhaps getting drunk off your bum bum would be a pleasant idea!

When the going gets tough Dalicia gets goin'! Dalicia hates a few things and one of these many things is Debbie Downers; A Debbie Downer is someone who loves to talk shit,bring you down and constantly nag or bitch. Debbie Downer's are the worse when you are fully aware of how much stress there is surrounding school and they just keep bringing it up! If Felicia and Dalia are discussing our future buisness ventures,vintage orgasms or our passion for Jeanne Beker just let us be! No one wants to hear someone nagging about how badly our lives all suck a chubby one right now.

Instead of sweating over the small stuff this is what Dalicia and some other classmates get accomplished in class:

We have alot to juggle on our plates on a daily basis plus having to worry about being fashionistas, in the words of Dalia ; OH MY LANTA this is hard work but someone has to do it.

Bangles[lots of them] ,russian/riding inspired boots, faux over sized beads, vests, torn jeans,poor boy caps and rosary's are all making frequent apperances in Dalicia's daily wardrobe choice. Right now since the winter weather is kicking us extremely hard in the hump lets all put away the tank tops ladies...like what the hell is anyone in their right mind doing walking out of there house with the intention that they will be sitting in public with bare arms in the dead of winter? Are you f**king kidding me? I am not doing this to be a heartless bitch but for the sake of your arms and your boobies that must be frost bitten lets cover up.Tis' the season for layering,fur,wool and flannel lets act like the frozen Canadian Citizens that we are, bitches!

Dalicia is loving where winter fashion is going and it is the first time in years that fashion is now suited towards people of different sizes and shapes. Belly tops and skin tight jeans are thankful no longer a cool thing to be sporting soooo, long wool sweaters over tights or jeans with a pair of high boots can work for pretty much anyone. This season is all about layering sweaters, jackets and giving something to the imagination so lets make the most of it ladies! I hate when people use being over a certain size for restricting them to wearing a bland style of clothing. It doesnt matter what you look like just know how to work what you have, its not about if you can wear it or not due to size or style but if you can pass it off. Jesus (our b.f.f.) knows that there are some skinny broads that walk around wearing TOO MANY must have items! Just because you see that certain things are really hot right now there is no reason to wear it all at once! You look like a child who cant seem to make up their mind..kinda like how you got on Christmas Day when you were 8 and you didnt know what new present to wear to you would wear it all at once. Less(accessories) is more!!!

WHO: Dalia & Felicia = DALICIA. We are two Journalism students with empty bank accounts,filled closets and have a dream to make this world a more fashionable place even if it means tackling one fashion faux pas at a time.

WHAT: Dalicia isnt just a nickname but its a lifestyle,attitude and movement.

WHERE: Mohawk College in Hamilton ( just a quick hop,skip and a bus ride away from Toronto)

WHEN: Dalia and Felicia met in High School back in the day but only said "hey lover" every now and then in the hallways until Dalicia was born when the two young women met in Broadcast Journalism in the Fall of 2005. The rest is history folks!

-Hollywood's Stick Figure ellite squad: We dont endorse snorting coke in front of a camera or eating disorders but we got nothin but love for Nicole Richie,Mary Kate (and Ashley sometimes)Kate Moss,Sienna Miller and Lindsay Lohan. Those skinny bitches put glam grunge on the map and made us all spend our Tuition money on trying to find the perfect " I so look so effin' poor" look. We cant wait to see what they have up their couture sleeves for young gullable girls like us to mimick next!

-Queen Sarah Jessica Parker: First off I personally like to call her Carrie since I am so one of those broads who thinks Sex and The City is real life and that oneday I will be that journalist with not enough money for rent but always manages to look effin' incredible..oh wait. Even though S.A.T.C has been RIP for a few years now SJP still manages to impress with her unique and chic style. I heart you Carrie.. I mean Ms. Parker.

-Janice Dickinson: Alcoholic, conceited, botoxed to death, loud mouthed broad. I love her like nobodys mother could ever understand. Dalicia doesnt care if she wasnt really the worlds first supermodel but Jan-Dick is an inspiration to us. Jan-Dick is an arrogant bitch with lines like:" I have weak ankles from walking over 5 billion miles on the runway" or " Everything about me is fake and I am perfect" she makes us want to get drunk with her and talk about her good ol' glory days. She became a house hold name when she was the brutally honest judge of America's Next Top Model and started shit in the Surreal Life house. I heart you Janice, thanks for making being a total b-word a fabolous thing.

-D Squared: Gay twins from Canada that have taken the fashion world by the balls! Who would have thought that two queers from Canada would have us all wearing fur hats and flannel? Dalicia would like to thank Dean and Dan Caten for putting Canada on the map and making us known for something other than those ugly ROOTS hats during the olympic games. Raise the roof for D2.

- J Ho: We love to hate her.Shitty acting, barely there voice and laugh at her love life just like the next person but Jenny from the Block has made junk in the trunk a must have item and broke the mold that all Latina's are either maids,gangsta bitches in wife beaters or thick lip liner wearing hoochies from the hood. I am spanish so when I seen JLO being such a big enterprise it brought a tear to my eye..either it be fashion,perfume,music or just being a public figure that always looks amazing, Jenny we gots mad love for you puta!

-Louis [local hero]: Louis aka The chronic vintage shop owner that makes us feel so warm and tingly inside. He owns DJV(we cant disclose the real name of the small shop just yet because we are selfish) and this store is incredible. It smells like closet and he always has the stoner beats on high volume while you dig thru racks of vintage finds. Best deal to date? A Jeremy Scott cashmere button up argyle sweater for 10 BUCKS or real leather russian boots a la Nazi WWII that go up to the knees with buckles that Dalia got for 20 BUCKS. Louis never fails to amaze us, I want his baby..kinda.

-Joe Blow: YOU! Average people! We aren't celebrity obsessed whores..the biggest inspirations in fashion comes from the little people! Eg 1) Gwen Stefani and her fabolous Harajuku Girls. Look at the street kids on King& James that are wearing torn jeans with a loose wool sweater that goes down to there knees with a mismatching thick scarf! An old lady wearing a long brown fur coat with a clutch purse,real pearls around her neck and over sized glasses on giving miserable looks to all the youngin's who wont give up their seats on the smelly bus for an elder, holler at her! Goth kids who have been wearing Chuck Taylors and trench coats since the days when Jesus was walking around. OR the asian kids talking on their high tech cell phones during rush hour a million words a minute with bright red mullets wearing a frilled pink tube dress with tights underneath with neon green heels with a wristful of bangles and a neckful of ghetto gold, that kind of stuff makes my day!

Fashion isnt just meant for size 0's or rich socilites that have never had to work a crappy mall job for a whole month just to buy a Chanel purse! *ahem*

I am by no means a bone rack, shit I have double D knockers with some junk in the trunk (eww how grade 8 is that saying?) but that doesnt mean I cant strutt my stuff! Be proud of your individual style and express yourself thru fashion which ever way makes me you happy. Just remember Dalicia loves you and your f*ckin' gorge.
